In our K-4th grade program called
Celebration
Station we believe that the Bible should never be
boring, worship should be fun, and leaders care.
At
Celebration Station our focus is on becoming
like Jesus. The Bible summarizes Jesus' childhood in Luke
2.52: "Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with
God and people." Jesus provides a clear example of how
children should grow.
At
Celebration Station we strive to create an
environment where elementary-aged children can grow in
wisdom, faith, and friendship. When kids graduate from
Celebration Station they will take three simple
foundational truths with them:
- I need to make wise choices.
- I can trust God no matter what.
- I should treat others the way I want to be
treated.
Most of our lessons and activities reflect the Bible
virtues and stories covered in 252 Basics® curriculum, and
we adapt each week's lesson for our kids and church
community. Each month, we concentrate on one key virtue
from God's Word. We define the virtue, then
explore Bible lessons that demonstrate an element of
that virtue. The kids spend about 45 minutes
worshiping- singing, praying and hearing a lesson. During
this large-group time, the
Celebration Station
team presents the lesson in a variety of interactive
ways—through narration, skits, videos, and more.
Afterwards, the kids break off into their grade groups for
discussion and activities led by a
Celebration
Station leader. Here kids share their experiences and
learn to apply the lesson to their lives.
