Youth Ministry at Simi Valley Presbyterian Church
If your teenager is active in or plans on participating in the Youth Ministry at Simi Valley Presbyterian Church, thank you for allowing us the opportunity to be a positive influence in their spiritual growth. As unique and significant as our role is in the life of your teen, we recognize that you, the parent, are the number one influence in your teen’s life in regard to their spiritual growth.

Because your role as parent and our role as a youth ministry are important yet distinct, it's vital that the Simi Prez youth department maintain open lines of communication with you, the parents. Therefore, you're invited to contact us with questions or suggestions of ways we can better serve you. Especially if you are going through unique struggles with your son or daughter, we would be honored to join you in the process of encouraging your student towards spiritual growth and maturity. Despite the fact that we are a growing church and, therefore, a growing youth group, our hope is that you'll receive the individual attention required for your situation.

If you are a parent who is checking us out for the first time, our youth department offers a variety of events, from large group special events to home based small groups and everything in between. It is our hope that by doing so your teen will find an entry point based on their own personality style and comfort level. If after reading through our website and youth calendars you still have questions, I invite you to contact us directly with any questions you may have. I pray that your first connection with Simi Prez reflects the warmth our community of faith has to offer.

If you are a parent who is in need of help getting your son or daughter connected to our ministry, please allow us to help. I promise (1) We'll have one of our leaders call and/or write your student to personally invite him/her to one of our events. (2) We'll work hard to make connections with students they may already know from their school. For example, your son or daughter might say, "I don't know anyone who goes there." That's a fair concern but it's possible there's a connection they're not yet aware of.  We'll give you names, explore options and be waiting to welcome their arrival.

In order to better provide for your teen's safety and well being, students participating in Simi Prez youth events are asked to read and sign a Student Code of Conduct with their parents. Additionally, parents are asked to fill out a Parent Consent Form. These forms are valid and kept on file for one year.
