In this compromising setting which author Carolyn Curtis James characterizes as "riddled with sexual tension" what choices will Ruth and Boaz make, and why? IMPORTANT Construction Update
Beginning this weekend, we’ll be entering the campus from our new driveway entrance located on the west side of our property. We’ve added a beautiful, sweeping walkway from our new, soon to be open parking lot, with new stairs leading to the back of our existing Family Life Center. Installation of curbs, gutters, and sidewalks, as well as cosmetic repairs to existing office wing, are well under way. Paving will follow, with completion of our new driveway and expanded parking lot slated for August. As always, we are extremely grateful to our Parking Ministry Team for their help in getting members and guests safely on and off campus each week. We encourage church leaders to park at Pinecrest School or on our nearby streets in order to make more parking spaces available to our guests and those with mobility issues. Thank you for your patience as we build a better church home for you.
Father/Son Dodger Baseball Game July 11th
Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Florida Marlins. Only 60 tickets available at the very low price of $9 a piece. This is an event for Club 56, Jr. High and Sr. High sons and their fathers, or favorite uncle or an older brother, etc. There’s even some youth leaders who want to adopt a son, just so that they can go! Valiant Men Annual Car Show July 12th
The Valiant Men Ministry will be hosting their Annual Car Show at the Simi Valley Towne Center on Saturday, July 12th from 7.00-11.00am. This year’s proceeds will help support ACTION’s Foster Youth Ministry. Come hungry. Cinnabon will donate 20% of all purchases to ACTION. Mexico Medical Mission Trip Donations Needed
The Christian Medical & Dental Association is in need of donations for their mission trip to Mexico July 11-13. Items needed are travel size toothpaste/toothbrushes, bars of soap, and deodorant. Offering Envelopes and Per Capita Giving
We encourage all of our members to use offering envelopes, available at no charge at the Welcome Center on the patio. The use of envelopes greatly simplifies counting and recording your tithes, offerings, and special gifts. The 2008 Per Capita assessment for each adult and confirmed member is $27.70. Any difference between what we receive and what is due our presbytery comes out of our church mission budget. We encourage you to use the special blue envelope in your offering box or indicate “per capita” on the memo line of your check. You can also give online using the link on the Simi Prez Home Page.
